Texture Sprays!!

Helllloooooo! Welcome back! I have been looking forward to writing this post for a long time!! Both because I am super pumped to share these amazing photos from this recent shoot, AND because texture sprays own my life right now and I want to share my favorites with you!

Don't forget, vendor list is at the bottom so check out this crew. Let's jump into it!

First off, let's talk about what the heck a texture spray is and why it's so important. Texture spray is a spray you can buy for you hair that many brands sell. What it does is give your hair some, well, texture (or grit). This is helpful for two reasons. As a hairstylist, it allows me to manipulate and move your hair the way I want to in order to create a specific look or style like you see below. It ALSO gives your hair VOLUME! Which who doesn't want that. There can never be enough volume in the hair.

For example, if you curled your hair and are just leaving it all down, but want some volume, spraying this at the root and working it through your hair will give it that texture that helps lift the hair. It also makes it easier to backcomb and it helps styles stay better. Think about it.... when your hair is super clean and slippery, does it stay in a ponytail really well? Does it style the way you want? I don't know about you, but the day after I wash my hair is the worst day! My hair is too clean to do ANYTHING! So I bring some of that texture back into my hair with the spray to make it easier to style. Hope that all made sense. Keep reading to find out my favorite magical sprays linked below.

These first two sprays are both by Kenra and they are soooo good. Plus they smell amazing. I use the Kenra Dry Texture Spray all the time on my clients. It is definitely my ride or die, and I have had it in my kit forever. BUT, the Kenra Dry Volume Burst just came out recently and I think it just gives the hair a whole new level of texture! Both are so good so check them out.

Another spray that smells amazing is the Amika Un.Done Volume and Matte Texture Spray. I go through bottles of this in my house! Seriously I use this so much. It gives my curls such good texture and volume that I can't even leave the house without it! I've mentioned their dry shampoo before and so far every product I try by them I am in love with. They also sell a really great blowdrying mousse which I don't personally use but a lot of my clients swear by it.

Welp this may not be important to everyone, but if you want your hair to smell like candy, sign up for this one. The IGK Beach Club Texture Spray is another favorite of mine. One of my hairstylists introduced me to the IGK products and I am in love with them. I am still trying out a lot of their products but this spray has quickly become a staple in my hair routine. Side note: their dry shampoo is also bomb so check it out.

This is the first product I had tried by this line as well. I can't believe I had't used Biolage's products sooner! This RAW Texturizing Spray is the only one I mentioned that is not an aerosol spray, so if you're looking for one, this is the one for you. I love this spray, but I am used to working with aerosol sprays so it took me a minute to transition and get the hang of it. But it's great! Check out their products if you aren't familiar with them, their shampoo is pretty amazing too!

That's all I have for now! These sprays have changed my life and my styling game this year for sure. Let me know if you try any and what you think! And thank you for clicking over and reading to the end. I truly appreciate you!!
